While there are quite a few named locations and POIs on the Fortnite map, there are also loads of lesser-known landmarks that aren’t marked on the map, so it can sometimes be easy to miss them.
This is especially frustrating during challenges that require you to visit a specific location. If the game doesn’t tell you where it is, you can spend ages searching around the Island for it.
One of these locations is The Ruins. If you’re not sure where to find it, that’s probably because it’s not marked on the FortniteChapter 3map – but we’ve got the exact location right here.
The Ruins are located on the northeast side of the Fortnite map, slightlysoutheast of The Daily Bugle. You’ll know when you’ve found it because it’s a grey and ancient-looking structure.

It’s a good idea to land here right away, as it’s on the edge of the map and the storm will consume it early on in most matches. Stock up on loot inside The Ruins then make your way out.
