Despite the DC Universe not being able to make the biggest hits for a while now, the faith thatBlue Beetlehas in its success is incredible. Ezra Miller’sThe Flashwas marketed as one of the best movies of the franchise till now. However, the response it got from fans and critics alike was not what they were expecting.

Whether it was the VFX or the poor marketing,The Flashwas an unfortunate flop. The faith that people had in that movie was exceptional despite all the controversy regarding Miller. Although, contrary to popular belief,Blue Beetlestill holds strong as to how concrete its success would be.

Blue Beetle’sHope Still Lives On
There was a big ongoing confusion about whether or not theBlue Beetlemovie would be part of the DC Universe or stay outside of it. However, Angel Manuel Soto stated that there is a high possibility if not an assured possibility that it will be part of the franchise and the universe it will commemorate and so forth.
“But we are not tied to all the films from the past. Yes, our movie lives in the world where superheroes exist. But that doesn’t mean that a certain event, or certain alliance, or certain things from the past dictate where our film is going.”

Despite the flooding of negative reviews forThe Flash, the movie became a massive flop. It was supposed to be the saving grace for the franchise but did the exact opposite. However, that has not led the director to lose any hope inBlue Beetle’sstance within the franchise. He is sure that the story he has to tell will still be strong whether or not the movie stays a part of the franchise.

Blue BeetleFuture Sequels Are Already Planned
Angel Manuel Soto confirmed that the movie fans will be seeing is only the first of many. A trilogy is what he is hoping for and the plan is to divide three acts into three different movies. Scriptwriting traditionally has three acts and the director has chosen to split these three acts into three individual movies of a bigger saga.
“Our first movie, the way we wanted to do it, was always with the mentality that we wanted to do two more, at least,”The director stated.“And taking the traditional three-act structure of a story, we wanted our first movie to practically be the first act of a saga.”

No matter what happens with the movie, his hope still stands and will continue to do so. Soto is still looking forward to how the audience will see the upcoming hero and has faith in his work.
Blue Beetleis set to release on 17th August 2023, andThe Flashis currently available to watch in theaters.
