Gamescom 2023 started brightly last night with the Opening Night Live event showcasing some of the biggest titles coming out in the second half of the year.Starfieldshowcased a new live-action trailer and was followed by a bunch of other big-name titles –Mortal Kombat 1, Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077‘s DLC reveal titledPhantom Liberty, and yet another glimpse at the upcoming rebootCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Among all of the games announced on the glitzy night, a certain horror game’s threequel blew the audience’s mind. The announcement came as quite a surprise as there wasn’t much rumor or expectations prior to the event by Gamescom.
Little Nightmares 3 Looks Visually Stunning in Gamescom Reveal, Comparable to Major Titles
One of the surprise announcements made at last night’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event was the official unveiling ofLittle Nightmares 3. The 2.5D Puzzle Adventure Game looks visually stunning in the first look trailer, overshadowing most of the major games showcased on the big night. The audience gave a roaring applause to the announcement and first look and even those who watched the trailer online left a lot of comments over just how good the game looked.

The game’s aesthetics create an immersive and captivating experience that rivals even the big games at first glance. The first two games in the series were reputed for their atmospheric storytelling in a claustrophobic environment, and the visual upgrade seen in the trailer promises to enhance the game’s overall immersion. All this makes it a worthy addition to the franchise and the comparison with the other big games also makes sense, surprisingly.
While these three games may not always be discussed together, debating on the visual comparisons ofStarfield, Modern Warfare 3,andLittle Nightmares 3might just edge it in favor of the survival-horror, puzzle adventure. Ultimately, each of these titles will likely depend a lot on on how effectively each of the games can execute their visual styles and narratives, while also catering to the gamers worldwide.
The visuals of the game seen in the trailer, promise another stunning game, just like the previous two games in the series. The previous two games in the series were known for their brilliant visuals and progressively terrifying levels through the end.

Fan Reactions Call the Game Visually Spectacular, Calling the Game “Long Awaited”
Going by the fan reactions to the trailer, there’s incredible hype already about the game with gamers calling it long-awaited.
Another aspect noted by fans was the protagonists shown in the trailer aren’t returning characters from the previous two games in the series. Bandai Namco also confirmed that the protagonists in the third game of the series are two new characters namedLowandAlone.
Sixwas the main character in the original game withMonotaking on the role in the sequel along with Six playing the deuteragonist’s role in the sequel. The two original characters,SixandMonaare also confirmed to feature in the third game as playable characters.

Threequel to Feature Signature Elements From Previous Two Titles
Publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed the game will feature some of the signature elements from the first two games in the series. They noted that the game will feature a cluster of disturbing and dangerous places, such as the Necropolis, as the two characters encounter unique elements made famous by the previous games – from clever puzzles, dangerous threats, and memorable creatures one of which will be the Monster Baby.

Apart from single-player mode, the game is confirmed to have an online multiplayer mode but there’s no confirmation yet about a couch co-op mode for the game.Little Nightmares 3will launch on possibly all available platforms – Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and the Desktop edition as well in 2024. No exact release date has been made clear yet as has no news been given about just how long the game has been in development.
