Lupita Nyong’o, the actress known for playing the role of Nakia in theBlack Pantherfranchise, took to her Instagram to reminisce about the actor. Sharing that it took her quite some time to heal, the actress shared a heartleft message for Boseman.

After his loss, the MCU decided to createBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverin memory of the late actor. As per Lupita Nyong’o, she felt the loss of the actor heavily while working on the sequel but stated that director Ryan Coogler also shared the feeling with her.

“But at the same time we have a leader in [writer-director] Ryan [Coogler], who feels very much like we do, who feels the loss in a very, very real way as well. And his idea, the way which he has reshaped the second movie is so respectful of the loss we’ve all experienced as a cast and as a world. So it feels spiritually and emotionally correct to do this.”

Lupita Nyong’o further continued,

“And hopefully, what I do look forward to, is getting back together and honoring what he started with us and holding his light through it. Because he left us a lot of light that we’re still going to be bathing in. I know that for sure.”

It has been three years since the world lost a great actor as people remembered Chadwick Boseman. His legacy, theBlack Pantherfranchise, is available to stream on Disney+.
