Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are the heart and soul of theFast and Furiousfranchise. The two best friends carried the franchise and made it one of the most entertaining and accessible ones in the industry. The franchise is still going on after almost 20 years and recently released its 10th film. The franchise is known for its outrageous stunts and the use of expensive and luxurious cars to enthrall audiences across the globe.

One of the best entries of the franchise is undoubtedlyFurious 7which also sadly became Walker’s last film as he died in a vehicular accident in between filming the film. The film had some of the best stunts in the franchise, one in particular was the car jump between two towers in Dubai. Diesel and Walker were not allowed to perform this incredibly dangerous stunt.

Furious 7 had some of the most impressive car stunts

Paul Walker and Vin Diesel Were Not Allowed To Perform Stunt in $3 Million Car

Paul Walkerand Vin Diesel performed some of the coolest stuns in the franchise in 2015’sFurious 7. The film had a memorable scene where both of them had to jump-dive between different towers to escape Jason Statham’s character. The stunt was an incredibly dangerous one to perform and it involved a very expensive sports car.

As put byThe Digital Fix, the two actors were not allowed to perform the stunt themselves due to insurance reasons and it required a skilled driver to pull off the stunt. The crew built an elaborate set on a sound stage.

The car involved was a $3 million Lykan HyperSport, a rare model at the time. The one they used was also a specially designed, less expensive prototype of the car. Thus many factors led to them backing out from performing the stunt.

Louis Leterrier Teases an EmotionalFast X: Part 2

Vin Dieselrecently starred in the 10th installment of theFast and Furiousfranchise,Fast X. The film presented Jason Momoa’s interesting and dangerously psychopathic villain. He proved to be a rare villain who managed to give Dominic Toretto and his ‘family’ something genuinely fearful and intimidating. The next installment is believed to be the grand conclusion to the franchise.

Director Louis Leterrier promises that the next installment will be something very emotional and sad for fans. He toldEntertainment Weekly,

“There will be an ending. I know where the franchise ends and I know where the problems are in the 25 years of consequences that led up to that moment. But there are many ways to get there. Many roads will lead us to the end. As a fan, you will love the ending and you will cry. Part 2 is going to be a sad one. It’s going to be beautiful, and I’m so happy I’m doing it.”

It remains to be seen whether the franchise will continue or end after the next installment. There is also the Luke Hobbs spinoff film starring Dwayne Johnson which will serve as the bridge betweenFast Xand its sequel. The road to the conclusion of the franchise is becoming exciting and fans can expect some fireworks when these films arrive in theatres.
