The star who played the charismatic and ruthless corporate attorney in the hit television series made the character his own and gained a lot of critical acclaim and fan appreciation for his performance in the show.
Harvey Specter became so much a part of Macht during the 9 seasons ofSuits, that the celebrity confessed he almost believed that he was one with his character. In an interview, Macht spoke about the influence of the part and how he actually brought a lot of Specter’s characteristics into his daily life as well.

Gabriel Macht Couldn’t Dissociate Himself From Harvey Specter
Playing a character day in and day out over years, will most likely result in the blurring of lines between an actor’s real self and his screen image.Gabriel Machtfaced this firsthand with his iconic role as Harvey Specter in the blockbuster television showSuits. Over 9 seasons and 8 years, Macht became synonymous with the character and his traits in the show.
In an interactive interview withStar Sessions,theSpiritstar spoke about how Harvey Specter’s personality in the show influenced him in real life as well. Speaking of how he would unconsciously impersonate the traits and swag of his character in daily life, Macht said,
“I will be honest. Fame does some crazy s**t to you. When I come into contact with fans sometimes, when I’m walking down the street, walking my dog, or taking my daughter to school, or something like that, there’s a little bit of Harvey that comes out”.
While Macht added that he was extremely grateful for his fans and for the stardom the show had given him, he was still aware of keeping it real and being protective of his family, outside of the fame.

Gabriel Macht On Taking A Break AfterSuits
After a final 9th Season, the popular seriesSuitsended its run on television. One of the most watched shows all over the world,Suitsmade Hollywood starsPatrick J. Macht, whose morally grey and ruthless character Harvey Specter, gained huge acclaim, has not been seen in any project since the culmination of the show in 2019. Speaking toTV Insiderabout his experience, the impact of the show, and taking a breather, the actor said,
“We invested so much of our lives and as great as an experience [Suits] has been — it has been such a blessing for so many of us — I have a real sense of freedom having now finished it.And I’m happy… I want to put some creative heart, more focus and energy into [being with] my wife and my family.”
With his charismatic personality on screen coupled with impressive acting chops, fans of Gabriel Macht will be eager to see what he takes up next, following his self-imposed sabbatical.
