The highly anticipated fifth installment of theIndiana Jonesfranchise,Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, received a resounding standing ovation at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. An integral part of American cinema, the new movie will be a farewell to the beloved archaeology professor Dr. Henry Walton, portrayed by Harrison Ford. Despite being 80 years old, Ford has not lost any of his captivating allure and persona. However, little did he know that this would become the center of an uncomfortable press conference.

During an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, Ford was taken aback when an unidentified female reporter boldly called him ‘hot.’ While the comments elicited a roar of laughter from the room, Ford was left momentarily speechless.

“I think you are still very hot. And we were stunned to see you take your shirt off in the second scene. I mean it’s just…and you’ve still got it. I mean how do you keep fit? And you really…can you ride a horse?”

Initially, Ford seemed to be a bit thrown off by the reporter’s comments. However, soon he employed his sarcastic sense of humor and said,“What was the last part? Let me tell you..yeah…I can ride a horse. If they let me.”

A YouTube user wrote,“He seemed annoyed not flattered. I think it’s harmless to complement a person who probably never hears that at his age.”Whereas another one commented,“Speechless” indeed. I think he crashed his plane one too many times.”

Moreover, one fan went ahead and pointed out the hypocrisy of it all. Citing how these comments might have been deemed as objectification of a star or offensive if directed at a female, the YouTube user wrote,“Role reversal would have the guy reporter fired and shunned.”
