The galaxy far, far away has become excessively overpopulated in recent years, and the quality of its more recent entries has become incredibly varied. For the time being, we will be focusing on the most recent Disney+ series,Ahsoka,which is currently available to stream and has received somewhat mixed reviews from both critics and viewers.
Rosario Dawson starrerAhsoka, which is based on theStar Warsseries, has a lot of twists and turns, which has generated a lot of online discussion.
The main character of the show is Ahsoka Tano, a character that Dave Filoni co-created forStar Wars: The Clone Wars(animated series) and who made her live-action debut in the second season ofThe Mandalorian.The series’ setting will be in the same time period.
However, fans are alarmed becauseAhsokaappears to have driven the new multiverse, much like Marvel and DC.

AhsokaAppears To Have Alarmed Fans?
Ahsoka, a member of theStar Warsuniverse and a spin-off of the critically acclaimed and popularThe Mandaloriantelevision series, was created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. According to the official gist, the main character will look into a threat that will soon be present in the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.
In a statement, Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, acknowledgedAhsoka’spopularity and thanked all of the viewers.Despite this, Season 1’s premiere of the recently releasedAhsokaseries on Disney+ was reportedly one of the worst for aStar Warsseries.
The first two episodes gave viewers a taste of the future ofStar Wars, which may go much further than anything the franchise has ever attempted.With one fan pleaded withAhsoka, who introduced a “new Galaxy”, not to write a multiverse story involving“Anakin or anyone else”:

I would like to see a star wars trilogy of anakin and padme raising Luke and leia, non canon too cuz I don’t want this crossing over to the main universe, star wars has done this type of stuff before with comics but it would be cool in a movie the actors are at the right age

Eight episodes ofAhsokawill be released, with the first two having already premiered on August 23 and the final episode airing on October 4.

Ahsoka Season 2: Does Lucasfilm Want It?
Disney recently issued a press release stating thatAhsoka’sdebut episode,Master and Apprentice, garnered 14 million views during the previous week, making it the most-watched episode on Disney+.
According toKathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm:
“Ahsoka has become a fan favorite with people of all ages, and it is wonderful to see her continue to resonate with viewers in her very own headlining series. I want to recognize the fantastic work done by our creative team, led by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, the incredible cast led by Rosario Dawson, and our talented crew.”
Ahsoka season 2has not yet been officially approved, despite rumors to the contrary. According to the statement made by Kennedy, she seems pleased with this season and its premiere, so who knows—maybe she will be looking forward to the following one soon.
Rosario Dawsonhas also been very clear about her desire for more episodes of the series. And perhaps she hinted at this regarding the season 2. She told:
“I’m absolutely putting it out into the universe. We’re joking about it, but I’m manifesting it because I feel like I helped Dave [Filoni, Star Wars mastermind and Ahsoka Tano’s co-creator] manifest this role. So I’m ready. I’m excited. I’m willing. I got my ice packs ready to go for Season 2 and beyond! I would not be mad at that.”
Now, whether or not there will be a season 2 is a matter of time. However, the critical response toAshoka’sfirst season, which does not seem to meet the criteria, is crucial for the confirmation of season 2.
