Quentin Tarantino, the man behind some of Hollywood’s famous blockbusters likePulp Fiction(1994), Inglourious Basterds(2009),Django Unchained(2012), and the more recentOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood(2019), sat down with Howard Stern in November last year to talk about how he met his wife – Daniella Pick.
Pick is an Israeli singer by profession. Tarantino recalled some of the moments that he spent with her during the premiere ofInglourious Basterds.On multiple occasions, Tarantino has said that he has, so far, chosen to stay away from relationships and kids as it messes with his filmmaking abilities.
He also told GQ in a 2009 interview thatInglourious Basterdsmay not have happened“with the same intensity”had he been in a relationship; he had a chance to settle down, but he didn’t.
Tarantino, after 9 long years of knowing her, tied the knot with her on July 15, 2025, in Los Angeles. He revealed onThe Howard Stern Showthat he vividly remembered the evening he spent with her and why nothing else came close.

Quentin Tarantino Detailed His Evening With Daniella Pick
Tarantino said toHoward Sternthat he had been in Tel Aviv for the premiere of the film. But, he had time for other activities as well. He went out to party in a club and that’s how he crossed paths with the singer.
“I was in Israel for the Inglourious Bastards premiere in Tel Aviv. And so I met her in a club, frankly. We danced all night, we danced for three hours. I had to throw my shirt away when it was over because it was just stained like a horse dying. I had never had that kind of evening before, and I’ve had really good evenings, but never that evening. She’s just a f*cking knockout, she’s a beauty.”
Furthering his conversation, he blew the viewers away with the fact that he hadn’t started dating Pick until six years later when they met again.

Quentin Tarantino Met Daniella Pick After Six Years
After he was done withDjango Unchained,andThe Hateful Eight(2015), Tarantino had the chance to meet Daniella Pick again, but it was a completely different setting this time.He boarded a cruise and crossed paths with a family friend of hers.
He said about his second meeting –
“This is, like, six years later. I go on this cruise, and then I meet a woman who’s on the cruise who’s a family friend of the Picks.”

He further added that it was her family friends who set up the meeting between the two and informed him that she was single. After a few calls and meetings, the duo started dating.
Quentin Tarantinois currently working on his last film –The Movie Critic,which is set for release in 2024.
