Scott Derrickson may be the true Master of the Mystic Arts, as he is reportedly returning to helm theDoctor Strangesequel.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Derrickson would be reuniting with Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong, both reprising their roles as the Sorcerer Supreme and his trusted ally Wong. Rachel McAdams is also expected to reprise her role as Christine Palmer.
ThoughMarvelhas been tightlipped about its plans afterAvengers: Endgame(barring news aboutSpider-Man: Far From HomeandEternals), THR reports that the plan is for the script to be hashed out in 2019 with an eye toward a spring 2020 production start. A search for a scriptwriter is on the way, and if all goes well, the movie would be casting its spell on audiences in May 2021.
