Robert Downey Jr. Was Not a Fan ofGravity’sCGI
After Robert Downey Jr’s success in the MCU, the actor is in high demand as every filmmaker wanted to work with him and Alfonso Cuarón was also one of those filmmakers. However, in the film, fans saw George Clooney instead of theIron Manactor. While the actor prefers to work in successful films, he missed out on adding another film as he could not bear the working conditions of the film.
TheSherlock Holmesactor was present onThe Howard Stern Showwhere he stated that the 2013 film was extremely tech-heavy and he could not handle working in such annoying conditions.

“I went to do a test with a new sort of multi-spherical camera thing they were [using] for how they were going to do all the CGI. And I’m one of those guys who can be comfortably uncomfortable pretty easily, and maybe I was just on my cycle or something, but I went in the morning to do that, and we did it for about twenty minutes, and I said, ‘This is crazy. How much longer?’ And they said, ‘It’s like another two to four hours,’ and I said, ‘No, it isn’t!'”
Even though the actor is widely renowned forhis role as Tony Stark/ Iron Man in the MCU where he wears the superhero suit and relies heavily on CGI. It turns out that the CGI forGravitywas too much for the actor as it was too troublesome than they were worth, which would have affected his performance. However, whatever happens, happens for good as George Clooney gave an outstanding performance in the film which made it Oscar-worthy.
