It seems the anticipation for the upcomingMarvel’s Spider-Man 2couldn’t be any higher, but Insomniac and Sony are eager to keep the hype train going ahead of its release on October 20. At today’s State of Play, they gave us a ton of new, juicy insights into the upcoming title. Creative director Bryan Intihar showed off new gameplay features and revealed that the upcoming title will boast more than 65 suits for both web slingers.
These will include some truly iconic looks from the movies and comics, plus a bunch of brand-new original designs. With its all-new Suit Style System, you’ll have more options than ever before to make sure both heroes will sling through their neighborhoods in style.
Dress to Impress With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Huge Selection of Suits
The upcomingMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, bringing the popular duo together to beat up bad guys and face off against evil once more. Taking advantage of the PlayStation 5 powerhouse, you will be able to switch between the two web slingers “almost instantly” as you play. While exploring the extended map with an updated traversal system that will see you swinging and gliding through the air, you will have dozens of options to do so in style.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will feature more than 65 suits, including some truly iconic looks. Just as in the first two games, these have been inspired by suits our friendly neighborhood hero has previously donned in both comics and movies, with a bunch of brand-new original styles to boot.

An All-New Suit Style System
To make your Spidey suit truly your own, the game will feature an all-new Suit Style System. This will allow you to customize your look in more than 200 different ways. The teaser at today’s State of Play gave us a first impression of the new system, which will add a ton of customization options. You won’t just be able to pick from your vast suit wardrobe, but also change certain colors and patterns to beat up bad guys donning your very own style.
Considering that 2018’sMarvel’s Spider-Manincluded 28 suits andMiles Moraleshad 47 styles in his wardrobe, more than 65 outfits is a major jump that has fans excited. Among the many looks, Spider-Man fans will find tons of iconic designs. Today’s teaser already gave us a glimpse at some of them. One that stands out is the iconic black symbiote suit we saw in Sam Raimi’sSpider-Man 2on Tobey Macquire’s Peter Parker almost two decades ago. Given the fans’ love for Venom and the symbiote’s major role in the upcoming title, this should be a perfect fit.

To top things off, theMarvel’s Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Editionwill add five unique suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. These were shown off at the very end of today’s State of Play and will include the 25th Century, Apunkalyptic, Tactical, Aurantia, and Stone Monkey suits for Peter Parker, and the Tokusatsu, Encoded, Agimat, Red Spectre, and Biomechanical suits for Miles.
