One UI 7 Update Releasing Today: Features, Eligible Devices and More

Samsung’s much-awaited and much-delayed One UI 7 update is finally here. Despite being announced last year, the South Korean giant has yet to roll out Android 15 to its older devices. It is the most significant overhaul for Samsung’s UI skin, with new animations, redesigned quick settings, and plenty of AI features.

One UI 7 Update Set to Roll Out Today

The OneUI 7 update will be released today,Jul 27, 2025. It is being rolled out to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, apart from the Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6. Previously in beta, the stable version of the update is finally making its debut.

However, if you have an older Samsung flagship or mid-range phone, then you will need to wait a while. Samsung previously said that the update would expand to other phones in the coming weeks, including the S23 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Flip 5, apart from the Galaxy Tab S10 and S9 series.

How to Update Your Device?

To check whether you have received the One UI 7 update, follow these steps:

Make sure that your device’s battery is above 50 percent and that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you have a plan with mobile data, then you need to plan accordingly.

What New Features Can I Expect?

The One UI 7 update brings a breath of fresh air with a redesigned lock screen, home screen, and split quick settings. You also get an AI-based summary on your lockscreen called Now Brief, apart from the Now Bar, a dynamic island that sits at the bottom of your lockscreen.

Speaking of AI, you get Galaxy AI features like AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, and Audio Eraser. There’s also Google Gemini integration that works across multiple apps, apart from the ability to search things in Settings using AI. The new animations make it one of the smoothest user interfaces out there.

Moreover, many devices from Samsung’s mid-range M series and A series lineup are also in line to get the One UI 7 update. Although Samsung hasn’t revealed a concrete timeline, we can expect these devices to get the update in May or June. Do note that older devices are unlikely to get all the AI features, but it’s still good that at least Samsung is committed to rolling out the update, unlike other manufacturers.
