Following the rise of streaming platforms in recent years, the Blu-ray and DVD market has kept on dwindling, with many fans no longer engrossed in getting hold of a physical copy. As a result, there has been a decline in the supply of behind-the-scenes and deleted footage that didn’t make it to the final cut, which is a shame considering they added a whole new layer to the film.

One such example is Tom Cruise’sEdge of Tomorrow, starring Emily Blunt, whose Blu-ray offered 7 deleted scenes, but arguably the one that stood out involved Cruise’s crude proposition to Blunt.

The Deleted Scene Witnesses Tom Cruise expressing the Idea of S-X to Transfer Powers
In one of the deleted training scenes of the acclaimed sci-fi,Tom Cruise‘s character proposes the idea that having s-x with Blunt’s Rita might transfer his powers of resetting time to her. And while thesceneis funny in itself, it’s reasonable why they trimmed it out of the final cut, as for the most part of the film the two didn’t share any romantic or s-xual bond.
This isn’t the lone time that Cruise has avoided showcasing any s-xual relationship with his film’s female lead, as this was also the case for the actor’s most major releases in the last decade. From Rebecca Ferguson to Hayley Atwell in theMIfilms, Cruise’s Hunt maintained a platonic bond with them, which makes sense as limiting them to the actor’s love interest will only hurt their characters.
