Gabriel Luna, who played the fiery antihero Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider on Marvel’sAgents of SHIELD, has expressed interest in reprising the role in the MCU, dividing Marvel fans once again. Fans are divided over whether they’d rather see Nicolas Cage, who played Ghost Rider in the movies, return to the role, or Gabriel Luna, who played the character in the TV series. Opinions on Ghost Rider’s future in the MCU are divided, but his potential for a comeback is not.

Gabriel Luna Wants To Be Ghost Rider In The MCU
In a recent interview with Forbes, Gabriel Luna discussed his appreciation for the character of Ghost Rider and the dedication of his fans. Luna expressed his love for the role, remarking that he does“love that character”and that“it was really special.”
“Oh, I love that character. It was really special. It had only come into existence in 2014 (Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider), created by Felipe Smith, and then it was in 2016 that we did the show, and literally not a day goes by that somebody doesn’t ask me about it.”

Luna recognizes the complexity of the MCU and the careful planning required to incorporate new characters, but he doesn’t rule out returning as Ghost Rider. If Marvel ever decides to bring back Ghost Rider, in his opinion, it will be at least a few years before that happens.

The actor’s newfound openness to playing Ghost Rider again differs from his previous responses. He previously indicated that he was at peace with retiring the character after reflecting on the legacy he and theAgents of SHIELDteam had created.

On the other hand, Luna sees the character’s possible return as a chance to develop his portrayal further and explore his backstory. The actor’s dedication to his craft shines through as he talks about getting into shape for the role and cites his time spent on set with Arnold Schwarzenegger inTerminator: Dark Fateas an example.
Marvel Fans Want Nicolas Cage Back As Ghost Rider
While speculation about Gabriel Luna’s return as Ghost Rider is exciting, many Marvel fans are still partial toNicolas Cage’sinterpretation of the role. Based on Johnny Blaze, Cage’s interpretation of Ghost Rider gained a devoted fanbase before the MCU even existed.
