MCU has given numerous superhit and high-grossing films in the past years. It released its new solo and one of its most promising filmsShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsin 2021.It is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics of the same name,Shang-Chi. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and actor Simu Liu plays the lead in the film. In the story, the lead had to confront his forgotten past, as he gets drawn into a mysterious web of ten rings. After the success of the first film, fans are eagerly waiting for the second part.
The sequel ofShang-Chiwas promised to be released soon after the first one, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, the film has been pushed back.

Since the release ofShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsin 2021, fans are eager for the sequel. Shortly after the release, Marvel Studios revealed that they were making a sequel film. However, there has been no update on the same, for some time now.
In a recent post on the new social media platform Threads, Liu revealed that theShang-Chisequel was supposed to debut afterAvengers,but release date changes have pushed it even further back. It is difficult to determine if theAvengersfilm referred to by Liu isAvengers: The Kang DynastyorAvengers: Secret Wars.
Liu’s post read,
“Was told it would follow Avengers, but that keeps pushing back due to circumstances beyond my control 🙁 hope to have more concrete news to share soon.”
Avengers: The Kang Dynastywould release in 2025, andAvengers: Secret Warsis estimated to release in 2027.

Fans of the film and Marvel Comic have become disappointed with the uncertain release date ofShang-Chi 2. Numerous fans are uncertain if the film will ever release or take too many years to release.

2 years and no known plans, even for the actor. There’s so many new characters. Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, all for the Eternals, and more… just want to see these characters get chances to grow nearly as much as the roster itself is.
Talking about the sequel, Liu had earlier toldCollider,
“Going into a sequel feels exciting. It doesn’t necessarily feel like there’s a pressure to perform or a pressure to exceed. It feels like we’ve established a world, and there’s just something really nostalgic and exciting about returning to that world that we’ve spent so much time ideating on and thinking about. And then, we’re getting to revisit some things, but also show the viewer new things. We’ll deliver all of the amazing action that we were celebrated for in the first movie, but then also hopefully explore new sides of Shaun’s character and the characters around him. That is, of course, if we can still afford Michelle Yeoh. She’s on top of the world and just the queen of everything.”
