“Jason Reitman f–ked it up! Jason Reitman literally stopped the project when his father died,”

The 1988 film, featuring Schwarzenegger andDanny DeVitoas long-lost twins, was the work of Ivan Reitman. After years of talk, the plans forTripletsstarted to materialize in 2012 when Universal Pictures declared that a sequel was in the works and Eddie Murphy was chosen to play the starring role of the triplet. With time, Jason Reitman, the director ofUp in the AirandGhostbusters: Afterlife, who started as a producer in the project ended up being the director. However, the much-anticipated project got slashed by him, after the death of his father Ivan Reitman in 2021. Schwarzenegger explained,
