Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen have different accounts to share when they recall filming their movieDerailed. Both their characters engage in a steamy extra-marital affair in the movie and share some intimate scenes. Aniston shared at the time that the raunchy scene in the film had left her with bruises on her legs.

However, Clive Owen remembered being comfortable during the scene. He even praised Aniston, calling her a really great actress. Directed by Mikael Håfström,Derailedis based on the thriller novel of the same name by James Siegel.

Jennifer Aniston Was Injured DuringDerailedIntimate Scene
Jennifer Anistonrevealed getting hurt during an intimate scene withClive Owenfor her filmDerailed. Aniston told a TV show at the time that she had suffered some good bruises on her legs. However, theFRIENDSstar shared that she didn’t even feel it due to the adrenaline rush during the scene. According toDaily Star, theMarley & Meactress stated:
“I got some good bruises on my legs. It wasn’t pretty. But your adrenaline is running, so you don’t even feel it!”

While it wasn’t pretty for Aniston, Owen felt that they were comfortable. He revealed that there were a lot of things going on between the two characters in those scenes rather than two people just having s*x. It made the scene more comfortable for the two actors. Clive Owen shared withDaily Mail:
“There’s a lot going on in those scenes which makes it a lot easier to play then if it’s just two people having sex. There’s all sorts of things going on between them, and so it made filming those scenes as comfortable as it could be.”

TheCloseractor also showered praise on his co-star and shared that Aniston excelled in any role, be it a straight part or comedy. Aniston was going through a struggling phase in her personal life, as her marriage withBrad Pittwas falling apart. Owen shared aboutThe Break-Upactress,“She’s lovely, incredibly level-headed considering the spotlight that is on her.”
The film’s director, Mikael Håfström also mentioned that Aniston was very professional and didn’t bring her emotional turmoil to the set. The crew of the film created a private zone for her where she could feel safe.

Despite suffering bruises during her raunchy scenes inDerailed, Aniston now believes that she’s seasoned enough not to use the ‘modern’ intimacy coordinators. TheMurder Mysteryactress set the internet on fire with her intimate scenes withJon HamminThe Morning Show. When asked if she needed an intimacy coordinator for the scenes, Aniston told the crew that she didn’t know what that was.
The crew told her that the coordinators would ensure she was okay during her intimate scenes, but Aniston refused to get one. She told the crew that they were seasoned actors who could figure it out, and there was no need to make things awkward. TheHorrible Bossesactress toldVariety:
“They asked us if we wanted an intimacy coordinator. I’m from the olden days, so I was like, ‘What does that mean?’ They said, ‘Where someone asks you if you’re OK,’ and I’m like, ‘Please, this is awkward enough! We’re seasoned – we can figure this one out.’”
