Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki stands as one of the most celebrated characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor has appeared in several MCU movies, with his character’s journey seemingly concluding in the 2018 movieAvengers: Infinity War.Looking at the popularity of his character Loki, Hiddleston decided to release his web seriesLoki,which premiered on Disney+.

His series was well acclaimed by the viewers, and once again Loki proved to be one of the most beloved characters from the franchise. Surprisingly, Hiddleston also filmed scenes forAvengers: Age of Ultron.However, according to the actor, these scenes did not make the final cut of the film, as the filmmakers ultimately opted to omit them from the finished product.

Tom Hiddleston‘s character Loki is a significant part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor has appeared as Loki in various MCU projects, including theThorfilms,The Avengerssequels, and his own Disney+ series titledLoki.
To everyone’s surprise, Hiddleston was also a part of the 2015 filmAvengers: Age of Ultron.During an interview, the actor revealed that his scenes as Loki were initially filmed for the movie, but these scenes did not make the final cut of the film. During an interview, the actor shared that the scenes that were removed depicted a dream sequence in which Thor did not make the final cut of the film.

The scene highlighted the thoughts and fears of Thor, however, it never made it to the screen. Hiddleston explained, why Joss Whedon; the writer of the film decided to do so. The actor said,

“I was part of the dream sequence for the character of Thor. I shot for a day and enjoyed it very much, and then I received a phone call fromKevin Feige[who] said that in test screenings, audiences had overemphasized Loki’s role. They thought that because I was in it, I was controlling Ultron, and it was actually balancing people’s expectations so Joss and Kevin were like, ‘Let’s cut it because it’s confusing people.’… It made sense to me when I saw that film.”
Hiddleston’s statement echoed Whedon’s comment, as even he suggested that removing Loki’s part was very crucial as the whole film felt “overstuffed.”
