Kelly MacDonald, popularly known for portraying the Grey Lady in theHarry Potterfranchise, had the opportunity to work withMartin ScorseseinBoardwalkEmpire.The HBO series ran for five seasons from 2010 to 2014 and followed Enoch Thompson, who works with gangsters from Chicago to New York.
Kelly MacDonald, who portrayed Margaret Schroeder in the series, was also excited at the thought of working withThe Irishmandirector. And during an interview with Vanity Fair, she described it as“amazing”as she shared her experience working with him.

She said,“It sort of ruins you a little bit because you just want more.”MacDonald stated that she tries not to think about it too much, as she shared that she felt amazing working on the show. TheLine of Dutyactress also mentioned that she somehow tricked the award-winning director into working with her.
She also shared that her co-star Steve Buscemi was also great as she described him as“the sweetest”and the“nicest man”who is always down to earth and low-key.

Martin Scorsese’s Contribution toBoardwalk Empire
Boardwalk Empireis based on Nelson Johnson’s 2002 non-fiction book of the same name, which followed the historical criminal Enoch L. Johnson. Apart from directing some of the episodes of the show, Martin Scorsese also serves as one of its executive producers. It was the first TV show he worked on since Steven Spielberg’sAmazing Storiesin 1986.
Martin Scorsese set the show’s foundation with its pilot episode and had been associated with it even before Terence Winter took over as its creator. However, Scorsese continued to be involved in the production. Talking about the show, he said that he just visualized it as a movie, and he enjoyed working with its cast.
