Robert Oppenheimer, a professor of physics who is well-known for developing the devastating atomic bomb that was deployed against Japan during World War II, will be the focus of Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimer.These atomic bombs were responsible for the horrifying catastrophe and the millions of fatalities that took place in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and certain areas of Japan are still feeling the impacts of it today. Oppenheimer created this weapon of mass destruction as part of the Manhattan Project, which is now regarded as one of history’s most horrifying creations and a possible threat to all human beings.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning novel American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, which was written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin after extensive research, will serve as the basis for the film.
