For the 40-year-old, bringing Superman’s magic on screen wasn’t the problem, but getting his American accent right was. TheEnola Holmesactor struggled to pick up the American accent as he was from Saint Helier, Jersey which is a British territory. Cavill grew up speaking British accent, and onZack Snyder’sfilm set, he found it difficult to break free of that habit.
During an interview, theImmortalsactor talked about the difficult moments he had on the sets ofMan Of Steelto get the accent right.The Tudorsactor said,
“Doing an American accent is about exercising the muscles in your throat and your mouth. Sometimes it can sound great for a long period of time, sometimes your inflection is wrong. It all depends. As long as you’ve got a professional watching over you saying, ‘You did this wrong, you did that wrong…’, it can be made to seem effortless. But you still get days when it just seems to stick in your mouth.”

In an interview, theEnola Holmes 2actor opened up about how he sat with his dialect coach to get a proper American accent. TheJustice Leagueactor said,
“I think the hardest thing for me was the accent. When we started, Guy said, ‘Okay, I want something a bit like Clark Gable, but not Clark Gable.’ And I said, ‘Okay, cool.’ So I sat down with Andrew Jack, our dialect coach, and he ran me through some Clark Gable stuff. We worked on it. We kind of got it down, and then we started shooting.”
