TheOne Piecelive-action has officially become a part of the ‘hit show’ column in the long list of Netflix’s successfuls. The series following the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy to become the King of Pirates has brought in a storm with its epic adaptations, character portrayal, modified storyline, and brilliant editing. The audience for Netflix’sOne Piecegrew dramatically during the series’ first full week on the service, with 19.3 million views from September 4 to September 10, vaulting it to the top of Netflix’s English-language TV list for the week. The show has justified the name of the popular anime and manga series and has managed to earn the applause of Oda San himself.

The credit for the success of the series goes to everyone involved with it, but especially to the executive producer of Tomorrow Studios, Marty Adelstein. After giving major hits like Prison Break and Teen Wolf, Adelstein and Clements have also won the hearts of hardcore anime fans.

While talking toDeadlineduring an interview, Producer Adelstein explained the importance of a show likeOne Piecein their lives and how it was like a dream for both of them. Adelstein also stated that the production crew was up against some challenges from fans who weren’t necessarily expecting anything as amazing as they received. He said:
“Both Becky and I have been involved in a lot of successful shows. But in your career, you dream about one like this. And if you’re lucky you get one like this that resonates so large, and there’s such awareness of and people have a love of the source material.”

Adelstein and Clements discussed how they applied what they learned on that show toOne Pieceand how it was a watershed moment in their careers and future because they were able to not only convert the minds of skeptical viewers but also surpass the expectations of other fans.
