While reflecting on her experience working on Rian Johnson’sKnives Out,Jamie Lee Curtisopened up about how she felt embarrassed for assumingAna de Armaswas an inexperienced actress. Considering that Curtis was unaware of her work in several critically acclaimed projects, includingBlade Runner 2049, she assumed that the young Cuban actress was new to the realm of Hollywood. But it couldn’t be further from the truth, as after they started working together, Curtis was mesmerized by the actress’ performance and was deeply embarrassed. Curtis said,

“I assumed, and I say this with real embarrassment because she had come from Cuba, that she had just arrived. I made an assumption that she was an inexperienced, unsophisticated young woman, That first day, I was like, ‘Oh, what are your dreams?’”

But despite not being able to recognize the actress’ true potential at first glance, Jamie Lee Curtis explained that she remained in awe after witnessing the actress’ potential and her personality. Despite being a highly decorated star at a pretty young age, the Everything Everywhere All at Once star explained that theBlondestar was always looking forward to expanding her boundaries.
