Star Warsmight not be lighting the silver screen up anytime soon, but it is going through a renaissance on the small screen. The Mandalorian, which is currently airing its third season, started the phenomenon, and then it was followed by shows likeThe Book of Boba Fett,Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more. The latest to join the group will beAhsoka. Featuring the titular Jedi, the show is rumored to be all about her tracking down Thrawn. But the question is- will Lars Mikkelsen play the Chiss villain in live-action just like he voiced the character inStar Wars Rebels?

Will Lars Mikkelsen Play Grand Admiral Thrawn?

Season 2 ofThe Mandalorianintroduced audiences to live-action Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, for the first time. However, viewers ofStar Wars: The Clone WarsandStar Wars Rebelswere already familiar with the character. Tano revealed to Din Djarin that she was looking for Grand Admiral Thrawn, a villain fromStar Wars Rebels.

As such, it’s almost certain that the antagonist will appear in the upcomingAhsokashow or maybe in season 3 ofThe Mandalorian. So fans want Lars Mikkelsen, the elder brother of actor Mads Mikkelsen and the one who voiced the character inStar Wars Rebels,to play him.

However, in an interview with the Danish site Streaming Guide, the 58-year-old Emmy-winning actor admitted there’s not much hope of that happening. He said:

“Well, I’ve heard that, but I haven’t heard anything about it yet. Then they should have approached me, but they haven’t. So it must be someone else, unfortunately.”

Fans would have loved seeing another actor make the jump from voicing a Star Wars character to portraying them in live-action after Katee Sackhoff for Bo-Katan Kryze inThe Mandalorian. However, that doesn’t seem to be happening as per Lars Mikkelsen.
