Francis Ngannou is the former UFC heavyweight champion who will have his boxing debut. He will face Tyson Fury (one of the greatest heavyweight boxers) on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Riyadh Belt.
Expert opinions and fan speculation are flooding in for this showdown. Michael Jai White, an American actor and martial artist, also joined the conversation in an interview on VladTV’s YouTube channel.
He compared Muhammad Ali and Tyson Fury for specific reasons. While the actor asserted that “Francis is his man,” on the other hand, he predicted that Fury would win over Ngannou. Maybe his comments would not be well accepted by Ngannou.

Michael Jai White Predicted Tyson Fury Would Win Over Francis Ngannou
In a recent conversation withVladTV‘s YouTube channel, the interviewer asked Michael Jai White,“There’s a big fight coming up, Fury Vs. Francis and Ganu. Now he’s coming actually from the MMA side into the boxing ring. How do you think this is going to end up?”
Jai White confidently stated that Fury’s unique qualities — like his extensive reach and precise footwork — would present a significant challenge for the MMA heavyweight champion.
“Oh. I hate to say it out loud, man, because Francis is my man. I think it’s Tyson Fury has footwork. He’s a tall man with footwork, that’s hard to beat.”
Ngannou stands at 6’4″ with an 83-inch reach, which makes him an imposing figure. But Fury is no less, who is 6’9″ tall with an 85-inch reach. It means he holds a distinct height and advantage over Ngannou.

Michael Jai White Compared Tyson Fury and Muhammad Ali
Michael Jai Whitedrew a comparison between Tyson Fury and the legendary Muhammad Ali due to their similar attributes — mainly their skillful footwork. Fury stands among the top-five greatest heavyweights ever, while Ali is a complete athlete and was second to no one. Jai White said:
“There was a man named Muhammad Ali, who was a tall man with footwork. You know how hard it is to hit a guy like that?“
Being compared to Ali is a great compliment for any combat sports star. And here, Jai White compared Fury to him, which means he’s definitely something Ngannou is not.
Ngannou undoubtedly has a stellar UFC career, but the combat sports community still believes that he lacks boxing experience, which could cost him a big loss against experienced boxer Fury.
While Michael Jai White claims to be uncertain about the outcome of the Ngannou vs. Fury match, it looks as if he may be leaning toward Fury for obvious reasons.
