The boy who lived – Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe has someone very important to thank for continuing with his acting career.

As it turns out, one of his co-stars would often communicate with him on set and motivate him to amp up his skill. Radcliffe, on many occasions, has spoken highly of him.
According to Radcliffe, he was able to learn some of the most crucial life and acting lessons from the revered co-star who would often scream at him while filming.

Reports have resurfaced recently that say Radcliffe almost quit acting as he didn’t think he had enough in him to give to the industry.

Daniel Radcliffe Shot An Intense Scene With His Co-Star
There was a particular moment while filming a scene, asDaniel Radcliffetold MTV News when he wanted to tap into extreme emotions.
Gary Oldman, now aged 65, helped him achieve the desired goal by rehearsing the scene with him that Radcliffe thought was too intense for a 15-year-old to handle.

“[Gary Oldman] came up to me and said, ‘Do you mind if we get a bit intense?’ And then he came towards me. I thought he was going to hold me, but he shook me and screamed at me! So hard that when he let me go, I almost fell.”
The trick, as he recalled, worked and he noted that the best experience he had was while filmingHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.Oldman was quite impressed by witnessing Radcliffe’s growth over the years with his career choices.

Daniel Radcliffe Is Keeping Up Acting But Not For Money Anymore
Earning massively ($95.6 million) from the franchise, Daniel Radcliffe told George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight that he stepped away from the glitz and partying to take up acting more seriously.
He also told Collider in an interview that he matured quite a lot working alongside Gary Oldman, who has recently played President Harry S. Truman inChristopher Nolan’sOppenheimer.
“I want to work with more people like you. I don’t want to walk away from this. I don’t want this suddenly to end and suddenly for me not to be in this industry,”Radcliffe recalled saying to Oldman.

He even expressed to The Guardian once that he had plans to move away from the franchise afterHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanbut chose to stay anyway.
