Harrison Ford Revealed His Feelings About His De-Aged Version

At the Cannes Film Festival, Harrison Ford clarified, once and for all, that he was satisfied with the de-aging CGI used on him for the fifth film in the franchise,Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. He said:

“I know that that is my face. It’s not a kind of Photoshop magic, that’s what I looked like 35 years ago. … I think it was used very skillfully, so I’m very happy with it. But I don’t look back and say, ‘I wish I was that guy again,’ because I don’t. I’m happy to be, you know what? I’m real happy with age — I love being older. It was great to be young, but s— fire, I could be dead, and I’m still working.”

His co-star,Mads Mikkelsen, stepped in to share how much stamina the Han Solo actor still has at his age. He explained that others way younger than Ford tended to give up after a long day of work. But not Ford. Mikkelsen stated:

“We had a night shoot on this film. We wrapped up at 5 o’clock in the morning. We were all completely wasted, and wanted to go to bed. Harrison picks up his bicycle and goes riding for 50 kilometers. Okay? So that was just a, ‘Come on, Harrison. What are we supposed to do?’ So I think there’s a couple more Indies in there.”

Whether or not Ford returns to star in anotherIndiana Jonesfilm will be heavily dependent on the current one’s box office numbers. As for now, the critics’ score for the film has been abysmal. On Rotten Tomatoes, it is at 50% after 28 reviews. It now remains to be seen how much the film ultimately rakes in.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destinywill be in theaters from June 30.
