Out of all the Batmans in the entire history of Batmans, George Clooney undoubtedly stands outs for a number of reasons. The actor is still embarrassed for“ruining”the franchise forever for its fans and continues to apologize for doing so. Back in 2013, the actor was seen being brutally honest about his part in the 1997 filmBatman and Robin, thus, while discussing that very instance on The Graham Norton Show, the actor elaborated on what factor led him to believe he was the sole reason that killed Batman forever.

Now, Clooney wasn’t the only actor who had a superhero disaster under his belt, Ryan Reynolds also is a recipient of such an honor for the iconic movieGreen Lantern, although it didn’t turn out to be as disastrous for him personally since he ended up meeting his future wife there, the film for sure left a lasting impression, that the is now unfortunately burnt into the audiences’ brain forever.

George Clooney is Sorry ForBatman and Robin
While promotingTomorrowlandat a New York Comic-Con, it was rumored that the actorGeorge Clooneywas extremely apologetic for his movie,Batman and Robin, thus when Graham Norton enquired if he did so indeed Clooney said,
“I always apologize for Batman & Robin.–I thought at the time this was going to be a very good career move. Um, it wasn’t.”

While at the time it might have looked like a great career move to him, with time he realized it wasn’t that much of a great idea. Thus, he keeps on apologizing for the now-infamous movie wherever he goes. He is glad that the franchise was brought back and revived with new elements and is thankful to all the people behind the scenes who took the superhero of Gotham City to such an extent. That to him seemed impossible after what he did. Although the 1997 movie is not alone anymore, and as the years have passed a number of other Batman movies have been added to the list of being ridiculed.
Moving past Batman, there also has been other actors positioned in similar positions for high-budget movies being a complete snoozefest at its best and a variety of words hurled by the angry and disappointed audiences at its worst, and Ryan Reynolds was put on such a spot.

George Clooney Isn’t the Only Actor Who Destroyed a Superhero Movie
Well althoughRyan Reynoldshas proven time and again that he can carry a superhero franchise solely on his shoulders,Green Lanterdid not seem to quite fit the mantra. The movie was a colossal disaster and Reynold does not argue about that. He is completely aware of all the factors that led to such a blunder. Upon watching the movie for the first time, the actor revealed he could only think of one thing,
“The words were ‘Holy sht’ and ‘No. NO!’ Oh my God, my btt was like a ukelele down there. It was crazy. It was an odd feeling. It was not a feeling I wanted to repeat. So I really spent the following years just owning as much as I could, it was the only way to kind of process it.”

Consequently, the actor opted to take responsibility for his blunder instead of remaining in denial. Given the glaring failure of the movie, he chose to embrace the situation with humor alongside everyone else, rather than allowing himself to become the subject of mockery in the face of such a substantial setback. Lo and Behold, the movie is now nothing but a little spec in the glorious career of theDeadpoolactor, and rightfully so.
