How To Unlock Dualliste in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

The Dualliste is a main story boss in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 that you face at the end of theForgotten Battlefieldquest. There’s a second Dualliste that you may fight in the game; however, that boss fight is part of an optional end-game quest—The Endless Towers. Similar to previous bosses in the game, the Dualliste is aNevroncreated byClea. It’s a knight-like creature with four arms and a humanoid posture.

Furthermore, the Nevron wields two elemental swords—one dealsDarkdamage, while the other dealsFiure(Burn) damage. The Dualliste is also the first major boss you encounter after addingVersoto the party and losingGustav.

Additionally, the Dualliste serves as a preview of the types of bosses and movesets you’ll face later in the main story. It uses both elemental attacks andGradient Skills. Moreover, it has two phases with vastly different movesets, which is typical of end-game bosses in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

Tips To Easily Defeat the Dualliste in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

For the Dualliste fight, the recommended party includesMaelle,Verso, and Lune. you’re able to useScielif you want to focus on physical damage, but since this strategy involves using elemental debuffs to whittle down the boss’s HP, Lune is the better choice overall. As for skills, they won’t matter much as long as you can counter the Dualliste.

However, for Maelle, we highly recommendPercee,Burning Canvas, andGuard Down. For Lune, equipElemental Trick,Immolation, andElemental Genesis. As for Verso, stick with his default loadout and addPerfect BreakandPowerful. Make sure you’re at leastLevel 25before fighting the Dualliste.

The key to defeating the Dualliste is parrying his regular sword combos and applying Burn whenever possible. Additionally, usingDefenselessmakes it significantly easier to deal damage to the boss. By the time you reach the Dualliste, you should be able to deal9999damage with your critical hits.

The best approach to the fight is to haveVersostart withPowerful, followed byLune’sElemental Trick. You can also use Maelle’sRain of Fireto inflictBurnon the boss. Keep Burn stacked on the Dualliste, and the first phase won’t give you much trouble.

Once the fight transitions to the second phase, things get a bit trickier. In addition to regular attacks, the Dualliste now introducesGradient Attacksinto his combos. In this phase, it’s best to rely on dodging rather than regular parries. The dual-sword combo can catch you off guard when trying to parry, but the dodge window in this phase is quite generous.

The strategy here is to dodge most attacks, applyBurn, deal damage using skills likeElemental GenesisandBurning Canvas, and counter theGradient Attacks. Keep in mind that Gradient Counters deal not only physical damage but alsoBreakdamage. you may capitalize on this by usingVerso’s Perfect Break skill.

Rewards for Defeating the Dualliste

After defeating the Dualliste, you will be rewarded with27,560 XPand theDualisoweapon for Verso. While its base attack isn’t particularly impressive, the Dualiso is easily the best weapon for Verso until you obtain theChevalam. TheLevel 4skill of the Dualiso allows you to play once more after performing abase attack. Further upgrades increase the base attack’s damage and also grant additionalPerfection.
