Elgar’nan Boss Fight Guide in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

As we already mentioned, Elgar’nan is the final boss and will be quite challenging to defeat. His health bar is considerably larger, and he will often move around the arena, which makes him difficult to track and attack. Let’s do a quick analysis of his attack patterns.

Attack Patterns

After a cutscene, phase 2 begins, and Elgar’nan restores his health bar. During this phase, the entire arena will be blacked out except the center. Your companions can’t help you during this phase. All the attacks you perform don’t have any considerable impact on Elgar’nan. All you may do is dodge all his attacks and survive till the end of this phase.

After a cutscene, you may have noticed there is a change in the appearance of Elgar’nan. Yes, his horns and hands have flames during this phase. As a result, he has a change in the elemental weakness at this phase – Resists Fire and is Vulnerable to Cold. In addition to the change in appearance, he also performs some new attacks at this phase.
