How Much Will the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Cost? New Report Points to a Price Jump

Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked eventnext month, onJuly 9, 2025. Apart from showcasing theZ Fold 7andFlip 7,the South Korean giant will also reveal the Galaxy Watch 8 series. This will include the Watch 8 and the much-awaitedWatch 8 Classic. However, there’s some bad news for you. A new leak has revealed that the Watch 8 series will be more expensive than last year’s model.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series To Get a Price Bump

WinFuturereports Galaxy Watch 8 series will be more expensive this year. Starting with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, the 40mm and 44 mm variants will get a price bump of €40-50 ($47-$57) compared to their predecessors.

This is in line with Samsung’s tradition of hiking the prices of Galaxy Watches over the years. For instance, the Watch 5 was $30 more expensive than Watch 4, while Watch 6 received a $20 price hike over the Watch 5. One reason for the hike could be the 64GB of storage in the Watch 8, which is double that of the Watch 7.

Similarly, the Watch 8 Classic will cost almost €500 ($585) for the 47mm variant. Do note that these converted foreign prices mean the actual prices may vary based on your region.

There’s some good news if you are interested in the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 or Ultra 2025 (whatever Samsung ends up calling it). The flagship smartwatch will carry a price tag $649, as its predecessor.

And once you pay for the Watch, you will also need to shell out money for the subscription. Samsung’s senior VP of health revealed last week that the company was exploring putting “advanced coaching features” behind a paywall.

While it’s unlikely to happen anytime soon but Samsung is interested in competing with the likes of Fitbit Premium and Apple Fitness Plus. This means if you want all the exhaustive health features, you will need to pay for a membership.

Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Prices

Apart from the new watches, Samsung will also unveil its next generation of foldable: Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. The good news? Z Flip 7 will be €100 cheaper than its predecessor.

This is most likely due to Samsung opting for the newExynos 2500chipset instead of theSnapdragon 8 Elite. The Z Flip 7 will have a bigger 4-inch cover display and a less prominent crease.

While the Z Fold 7 won’t be cheaper, it will have the same price tag as last year despite the upgrades. The base model with 512GB of storage will cost €1999 (approximately $2341). Although, since this is the converted foreign price, the actual price of the phone could be lower.

The Galaxy Unpacked event will certainly be worth waiting for. Are you upgrading your watch or have you decided to go analog?
