Development of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special was just completed by James Gunn. There’s no word on what the narrative of the Holiday Special orVolume 3 will be,but both will include Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Vin Diesel as Groot.
While Gamora’s destiny afterAvengers: Endgameis unknown, Zoë Saldaña is likely to return for at least Volume 3. According to Gunn, both Nebula and Mantis will have larger parts in Volume 3, so it’s reasonable to assume the director has something special in store for Gamora. The Suicide Squad actress Daniela Melchior has too joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in a small role.

Melchior will play a minor role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the much-awaited third installment in theMarvel Cinematic Universefranchise. While Deadline does not say who Melchior will play in the galactic adventure, we do know she won’t portray Moondragon, Drax’s daughter (Dave Bautista).

Melchior, a Portuguese actress, made her Hollywood debut inJames Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. The actress became one of Hollywood’s most wanted actresses after portraying Ratcatcher 2, the emotional center of the film’sgang of supervillains.The celebrity was cast in Fast X, the next film in the Fast and Furious franchise, last month. While nothing is known about Melchior’s Fast X character, the film’s initial behind-the-scenes photos hint that she will be a member of the Toretto family.
Will Poulter has also joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Adam Warlock, a job he considers “honored.” Chukwudi Iwuji, who presently stars as a mercenary in Gunn’sDC series Peacemaker,bagged the role in the threequel as well. While Gunn hasn’t revealed Iwuji’s part, he has claimed that “it’s one of the main characters in the movie and people are freaking out over how good this guy is.” Finally, Gunn hinted that a new character would be revealed in the Holiday Special, implying that, even if his Guardians saga is nearing a close, fans should expect plenty of surprises.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, directed by James Gunn, opens in theaters on May 5th, 2023.
