Hugh Grant has been one of the most charming actors since he entered the world of acting. Quite a majority of his movies have been heavily acclaimed and he has to play a big part in that. One of his, if not the most infamous scandal of his just so happens to be with Elizabeth Hurley. The two had been together for quite a while and were very openly into each other.

While in the long run, the scandal did not do much for his reputation as an actor. Both positively and negatively. However, the reason as to why it took place was beyond absurd. They had been together for over a decade and it was all thrown away after he got drunk once after he watched his own movie.

Hugh Granthad just stepped into the world of Hollywood. Although he was already a famed actor in British cinema, this was his first step outside of it. 1995 became a rough year for him because he was heavily disappointed with his performance in a movie he did. The movie in question just so happened to beNine Months.

“The film was about to come out a week or two after that, and I had a bad feeling about it,”Grant added.“I went to see a screening. Everyone in it was brilliant, but I was so atrocious that I was not in a good frame of mind.”

Due to his disappointing performance, he got intoxicated, which led to him cheating on his long-term girlfriend,Elizabeth Hurley. Not only that, but he paid a s*x worker $60 so as to be done with the deed. The case was also stated to be the primary and sole reason because of why he cheated on her, making it even more absurd than it may already seem.

Hugh Grant Had To Pay A $1000 Fine

Hugh Grant made it on the breaking news after that incident because he was later arrested for sxual acts in a parked car. He had done so after Grant got immensely drunk because of his disappointing performance in the movie. He hired a sx worker named Divine Brown and Elizabeth Hurley broke up with him immediately after.

He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine for the acts after which he was to attend a mandatory AIDS education program. This fine was supposed to act as a sentence for him. Hurley and he broke up a relationship of thirteen years in 2000.
