As of now, Elden Ring Nightreign has only two game modes. However, FromSoftware recently mentioned that they have plans to introduce a two-player mode in the future. Players can switch between the modes before starting an expedition, allowing both online and offline sessions.

Players on PlayStation must remember that a PS Plus membership is required to play the Expeditions with your friends or to start matchmaking with other online players. Regardless, the solo mode can be played in offline mode, without an internet connection.
As of July 23, 2025,Elden Ring Nightreign, is now available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
