Ahead of new DLC arriving forElden Ring, fans have been debating what they would like to see. And the majority of fans were unanimous in their desire to see the return of gear from past Soulsborne games.
There’s no denying the links betweenElden Ringand theDark Soulsseries. So much so that since it’s launch in 2022, the game has drawn comparisons with developers’ FromSoftware other critically acclaimed RPG,Dark Souls.
And whilst we are looking forward to the release ofShadow of the ErdtreeDLC forElder Scrolls,with an expected release towards the end of 2023, fans are looking at this and beyond.

What do fans want from Elden Ring’s DLC?
It was on theElden RingSubreddit that the following hypothetical question was posed;
“In the DLC, there will be a room with a chest, containing a weapon from previous titles, what would you bring back to The Lands Between?”
And following this, several fans took to the forum to post up their suggestions about what they would like to see included.
One fan had the suggestion of including the Vanquisher’s Seal, which was the ring seen inDark Souls 2increasing your punching power. The only downside to this would be that you would have to join the Company of Champions and earn 50 awestones. But to be be able to punch your way through the whole game would be a pretty cool experience.

And another thought about including the Dragon Tooth, Havel’s big bludgeoning stick. I mean you could have that and just start wailing away until your hearts content. Another fan suggested the Black Knight Halberd, but they want the broken want from the originalDark Soulsgame, not the sequels. Which if you get early enough, would be like taking the game on in easy mode.
But hold on. Let’s not forget that other amazing title that came from developer FromSoftware,Bloodborne. Surely there would be some gear from that title that fans would want to see in DLC? And you would be correct.
Who wouldn’t want to have the chance to whip out some duel wield flintlock pistols and blast away enemies inElden Ring?Not only that but it would be pretty cool to have the Threaded Whip available, which you could either use as a stick or a whip to have that double threat to take on enemies.
And some fans went over and above with their suggestions for what gear they would like to see inElden Ring. This one really made us laugh;
“A six-way rocket launcher or a minigun fromArmored Core“.
Talk about it overkill, that puts those flintlock pistols to shame!
