Marvel Studios has a series of TV shows and movies lined up under the next phases of the MCU. One of the superheroes that fans have been eagerly waiting for is Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, who is expected to appear in the upcoming TV seriesEchobefore his solo run inDaredevil: Born Again.While fans have been waiting for his next MCU appearance, an industry insider has shared a disheartening revelation, claiming that there would not be much of the crime-fighting superhero in the upcoming Marvel TV series.

Daredevil Reportedly Doesn’t Have a Prominent Role inEcho
The upcoming TV series starringAlaqua Coxas Maya Lopez, aka Echo, follows her returning to her hometown, where she comes to terms with her past and connects with her roots. This would be her next appearance following her MCU debut in the Disney+ seriesHawkeye.
The studio has recently released the first trailer of the upcoming show and become the first Marvel series to have a TV-MA rating. The trailer also gives a brief look atVincent D’Onofrio’sKingpin, along with a quick glimpse atCharlie Cox’sDaredevil.

However, insiders have revealed that the show might not feature that much of the crime-fighting superhero. InsiderCanWeGetSomeToasthas claimed that fans should“NOT expect to see a lot of Daredevil in ECHO.”They claimed that Cox’s role in the series would be nothing more than a cameo.

The insider stated that Maya Lopez is the lead of the show, and the cameo only depicts that Daredevil and Kingpin have been“active in the background of the MCU”all along. The insider also revealed that his role in the series might be even smaller than it was inShe-Hulk.

Charlie Cox’s Role inEchoMay Get Even Smaller
CanWeGetSomeToast has also revealed other details regarding Charlie Cox’s next appearance in the MCU. The insider has claimed that his part inEchowould be even smaller than he had in Tatiana Maslany’sShe-Hulk.
Theyexplainedthat She-Hulk featured him as a “special guest star.”However, he would only have a cameo in the upcoming TV seriesEcho. The insider claimed that Wilson Fisk would be the main villain in the series, which would explore his relationship with Maya Lopez.
The series reportedly takes place afterShe-Hulk, and the Daredevil cameo is believed to be a flashback set before the events of the 2022 Marvel series. However, unlike Wilson Fisk, who seemed to have a prominent role in the series, the trailer does not reveal too much about Daredevil’s place in the story.
Echowill premiere on June 11, 2025, on Disney+.
