Dwayne Johnson has become Hollywood’s favorite cop with his portrayal of Luke Hobbs, who entered theFast and the Furiousfranchise in the fifth installment in 2011 to capture Dominic Toretto after the death of three DEA agents in Rio de Janeiro.

His importance in the franchise has intensified afterFast X, which has paved the way for a soloFast and Furiousspin-off film where he’s expected to go head-to-head with Dante. But getting the best out of Jason Momoa’s character in the spin-off movie is apparently not Johnson’s greatest trial, instead, it might be making a difference in the real world through politics.

How Dwayne Johnson Reacted to a Survey That Showed Many Americans Want Him to Be President
Dwayne Johnsonhas been in the limelight since the late 90s as WWF’s (now WWE) most talented and entertaining wrestler. Following the turn of the century, The Rock decided to prove his mettle in Hollywood, starting withThe Mummy Returns (2001).
The 51-year-old has now become one of the most sought-after actors in the entertainment industry. Rest assured, the awful performance ofBlack Adamisn’t going to change anything in that regard. In fact, Johnson is expected to take overRobert Downey Jr.as the highest-paid actor in Hollywood with his upcoming Netflix movie,Red One.

His popularity isn’t limited to just the wrestling ring and the big screen. In recent years, his fans have demanded The Rock to show his magic in the real world as well. In 2021, 46% of respondents voted that they would support a political run for him in anonline poll.
Interestingly, theRed Noticestar, in a 2021 interview withUSA Today, hinted at his desire to become President of the United States, stating:

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted. Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people. … So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”
Considering Johnson’s popularity, and the fact the United States has already elected entertainment personality Donald Trump, the odds would certainly not be too much against the wrestler-turned-actor should he ever decide to run in the future.

Dwayne Johnson Reveals He Was Approached by a Political Party for Presidency Discussion
The idea of Johnson leading the country seemingly doesn’t just appeal to his fans, but also to one political party which supposedly visited him at the end of 2022 and asked him to run for President.
During his appearance onThe Joe Rogan Experiencepodcast, theJumanji: The Next Levelactor shed some light on his discussion with one of the political parties, revealing:
“Dude, so one of the parties came to visit me at the end of last year asking for me to run for President. It was first of all incredibly fu**ing surreal cause I was the guy, you know, who was wrestling in flea markets years ago looking for free corn dogs and hot dogs and sh*t, selling my headshots for 5 bucks trying to make money, and then all of a sudden having that conversation.
He continued:“But it was incredibly surreal and so wild, but also it was so incredible that they had all this data that they had said if this happens, here’s the result. It was really fuing deep and then I start to think, again surreal, because that’s never been my goal, right? I appreciate it and I’m fuing honored.”
However, the fact Johnson was seriously considered to run for President by the said party made the star question if he boasts incredible leadership skills or just that things are so “fu**ed up” that they turned toward him. Either way, should he ever decide to take that step, the documentary about his journey would alone be more interesting thanFast X.
