Leonardo DiCaprio may have a net worth that can barely compare to many. Having a big net worth like that of $300 Million is easily one that is massive. With so much money, there is always access to much bigger opportunities. DiCaprio did not earn so much money out of the blue though. It took him a lot of hard work and determination.

From making some of the biggest movies to working with some of the most famous directors, he has shown time and again just how much talent one man can have. No matter what controversies he would tie himself with, it would not take away the fact that his fanbase comes to rise because of how incredible an actor he really is.

Leonardo DiCaprio Invests in a Diamonds Start-up
Leonardo DiCapriohas recently invested in a diamond company. This may be highly unusual because he is also supported by ten other billionaires who made the same decision. However, what is even more unusual is the fact that this diamond company is merely a startup. Diamond Foundry is a startup that is situated in Santa Clara and it can allegedly grow diamonds in a lab. One of the most precious stones when it comes to the world of jewelry, it is not a new phenomenon to grow diamonds in a lab.
The company has claimed that it can produce hundreds of diamonds in a span of two weeks. Although it may seem far-fetched, they have also claimed that each diamond would be weighing 9 carats. DiCaprio has chosen to give the company a shot alongside some of the biggest people in the world. Whether it is a good deal or not may not be something that can be speculated at the moment because the investment is fairly new. With the support that the company is getting so far, it can be said that very soon diamonds will be mass-produced.

How Are Diamond Foundry’s Gems Made?
According to what Diamond Foundry’s website gives away, these diamonds are made using the real gem as a foundational piece. This diamond is one of the key features as to why synthetic diamonds become different from natural diamonds. What the company that Leonardo DiCaprio invested in offers is man-made diamonds. The use of real diamonds makes them unique.
The real diamonds are put through massive amounts of heat, approximately 8,000 degrees Celsius, which is over 14,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes the gemstones expand, replicating the chemical reaction that would otherwise take years to take place. Carbon is practically put through years of pressure and heat to be formed into a diamond, Diamond Foundry practically speeds that process up by using a real diamond as their base.
