The Necromancer is all about reanimation. Every time you take out an enemy with a melee hit, there’s a 25% chance they’ll rise again, but this time, they fight for you. These undead minions will help you battle through waves of threats. But nothing comes for free. Each time you summon a minion, you’ll lose 10 HP. There’s no limit to how many allies you can create, as long as you have the health to spare.

You start each run with a basic shovel, and you don’t get any minions at the beginning. That said, you’ll usually find something to kill and resurrect pretty quickly.

Is Necromancer Worth It?

The Necromancer is one of the more unique classes in the game. Instead of relying on gear or guns, your strength comes from fallen enemies. This makes it incredibly fun in areas with lots of enemies, since you’ll always have fresh bodies to use.

That said, if you’re running with aMusician, you can keep healing between fights and make the most of your minion army. In solo Nightmare runs, though, Necromancer can be a risky pick unless you play carefully.

Necromancer is great for players who enjoy a tactical style and want to fight with a team of AI allies. The class rewards smart play and situational awareness. If you like the idea of turning the battlefield into your own undead playground, this one’s definitely worth the 35 Bonds.
