We are gearing up for the second installment of the DC FanDome event! Here’s what to know:
When the situations worsened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we all saw the San Diego Comic-Con getting canceled as it could’ve been a potential risk to many lives. Warner Bros. had the option of following the same steps of their rival studios and could have settled for the loss. However, they bounced back with an online virtual convention and called it theDC FanDome Event.Before the launch, the idea of the convention appeared to be of a chaotic zoom call to us. While we had our hopes set low, DC’s executed performance set the bar up too high. The event turned out to be a massive success and got a whopping 22 Million+ views.
The 8-hour-long virtual convention which premiered on August 22 featured some of the biggest news by DC for the year 2020 & 2021. The online convention witnessed astounding unveils and unpacking of some most awaited projects such asWonder Woman 1984,Zack Snyder’s Justice League,Shazam: Fury of the Gods,Black Adam, andThe Batman.

According to a report by theDeadline, the 24-hour event will “allow fans to create and control their own viewing experience from 100+ hours of on-demand content from over 300 panels and videos.”
TheDC FanDomewebsite has been updated with a list of events and here’s what it offers.
The broadcasted content is set to repeat once again on the DC FanDome website, a portal that will remain active for 24 hours for absolutely free. Warner Bros. after the great success of the first part of the virtual convention is already thinking about organizing more such digital events.
