Scott Evans held the shield of Captain America while defending his brother Chris Evans from online hatred that sparked when the Marvel star’s romancing with Alba Baptista came to light. Evans and Baptista tied the knot on 9 September but his brother’s defense of the relationship is equally gaining wide praise.
Evidently, paparazzi and fans have always been obsessed with A-lister stars often invading their personal space. Evans has built a strong resume after starring as MCU’s beloved character and ever-charming Captain America, the actor also starred in several remarkable projects that have gained him global fandom but immense popularity comes with a cost.

Scott Evans Defended the MCU Star
Chris Evanshas been aware of the cost of immense popularity and perhaps that is the reason he kept his relationship withAlba Baptistadiscrete for quite a while. Evans, 42, and Bapista, 26 have an age gap of nearly two decades, and fans took it to criticize the actor online. In their defense Evans’ brother,Scott Evanslashed back at the haters online while appearing on Nick Viall’s podcastThe Viall Files.“It’s tough, people can ruin things pretty quickly,”Scott told Viall.
“The way people can be, it can make it pretty hard to date someone like that because you think like, ‘Oh I’m just dating a person, he’s a guy’, and then all of a sudden it’s article after article after post after post. Everybody is just being like you are a piece of c*** to anybody he’s tried to date and just destroying them. You can only take that for so long and it makes relationships kind of hard for him.”
Scott further iterated on the hard-earned fame of his brother.“It’s been a slow burn over the years it’s not like he catapulted into fame,”he added. Further the evolution of social media, especially Twitter, according to Scott can be a very dark place. Scott has given his blessings to the couple and supported the relationship.

Evans and Baptista are a happily married couple now but the duo have waited a while to reveal their relationship in public. As per reports online, the duo started dating in 2021 and have kept it a secret for a year. Before Baptista, Evans had a long history of dating at the peak of the charming actor’s career.
Prior to his romance with Baptista, Evans had enjoyed the company of some of Hollywood’s high-profile women including Jessica Biel, Lily James, and Lily Collins, and his brief romantic encounter with Dianna Agron.
Biel and Evans started dating in 2001. In the course of a 5-year relationship, the duo starred in two movies together and both were pretty serious as both were interested in getting married and having kids. However, the couple have parted ways in 2006. Evans also briefly datedEmily in Parisstar Lily Collins in 2015. The Mamma Mia actor Lily James and Evans’ romance rumor also sparked when the duo was spotted together twice in London in July 2020. However, there was not much depth in the story as it was not officially confirmed. The charismatic actor also dated (or rumored to be dated) Jenny Slate, Christina Ricci, and Minka Kelly. The actor is now happily married to Baptista. Contrary to Evans, the Warrior Nun actor does not have a long list of dating history. Baptista briefly dated director Justin Amorim before meeting the Avengers star.
