It has been revealed through a recent investor report for Capcom that a “major title” could be coming within the fiscal year ending March 2024. Currently, there is no information as to what game this could be, as no information has been officially announced by Capcom.
Since we do not know what game this is in relation to, we can only take the information that is provided by the investor report, which has been uploaded toRedditand is currently only available in Japanese, but gamers have already discovered two mentions of the mysterious title.
What could this Mysterious Major Capcom Title be?
So far, there is a lot of speculation as to what this major Capcom title could be, as it does have a lot of major titles hidden up its sleeve that could make a major impact on its revenue. Within the investor report, we can see that Capcom believes this major title could earn them up to 45 million console copies sold.
To have this much faith in a game title, must mean that it is a major title that many gamers will have been clawing at for a very long time. This has led many gamers to believe that there could be a brand-newMonster Huntercoming or another installment in theResident Evilfranchise.
For now, we do not know which is more likely, but from what is said in the investor report, these are the two most likely suspects that could be getting a release in the second half of this fiscal year. That being said, there are other game franchises that Capcom owns that could be making a comeback that may reach this target.
One example of this could be the largely popular Street Fighter series, but this is highly unlikely as there has already been a major game release for this franchise. To stretch out the theory, it could also be a remake of the Dino Crisis games, which is something fans have been looking forward to for a while and is quite possible thanks to Capcom’s recent release of Exoprimal.
When Will we learn What Major Capcom Titles could be released soon?
With the limited information we have, we can only take a guess as to when we will most likely find out more regarding this major title that will be released in the second half of the fiscal year. Even though it is a long shot, there is potential for an announcement during the Game Awards on December 7th.
This is the most likely option, but since 2023 is drawing closer to its end and the end of the fiscal year is also drawing closer, it is more likely that Capcom will release some kind of trailer within the next few weeks to give the game more time to get around and gather more attention from fans.
If it does turn out to be aMonster HunterorResident Evilgame, it would most likely hit the company’s target of 45 million units sold, but it would need to have a rather early release date to give the game time to sell, so this could mean a potential May to April release date for whatever game is being released.
However, this is all speculation and could change at any given time, as currently, we do not know what game is being developed, when it could be released, or what state the game is currently in. For now, though, Capcom does seem to be providing more and more information as the dates close in, so we may find out more information very soon.
