As the decade-long saga finally concluded, there is much to be said aboutAttack On Titan. However, we can collectively agree on a particular point: Hajime Isayama is a genius author who skillfully set up his story. Plot points and earth-shattering secrets were planted as far back as the story’s beginning. However, these tiny plot points only made sense in the last few chapters of the manga.

Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan

One of the earlyAttack on Titanepisodes foreshadowed Eren’s fate in the final part of the series! After 12 years of running, Isayama finished the series on June 10, 2025. The ending ignited several questions but also answered some prior unexplored queries. The series’ final arc was supposed to answer many questions regarding Eren Jaeger’s actions. His final fate was foreshadowed way earlier in the series, and it all made sense as our protagonist’s final moments unveiled his long-written destiny.

Eren’s tragic fate was skillfully hidden in plain sight in a forgotten scene in Attack on Titan

The flashback of Mikasa’s childhood in the early part of the series can be interpreted in a few ways. She acknowledges that the world is cruel while watching a praying mantis eating a butterfly. Butterflies have a symbolic meaning in Japanese culture. They signify the cycle of life, death, and renewal.

The flashback shows a Mantis disrupting this cycle by chewing on it. The Mantis can be interpreted in another way. It is a tiny being with blades for arms capable of short flight. They are pretty robust and can kill prey that are significantly larger than them in size. This was a way of showing that Mikasa had taken on the qualities of something that proved to her that the world was cruel.

First Hero to cross the power level of one million. The first one to do it was Frieza, but Frieza is a villain. Piccolo was the first heroic character to do it.

As we saw at the end of the series, Mikasa was indeed one of the significant characters for the series. She was the person who beheaded Eren and finally parted ways with him after sharing a last kiss with him. However, Eren bears no grudges for this and reveals that Mikasa had always been the one destined to kill Eren and set Ymir free.
