Inside Help continues the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows followingThe Bad Brothermission. It is part of the Onryo storyline to assassinate The Fool, Ise Sadoki. In The Bad Brother, Naoe and Yasuke meet Ise Sadatame, Sadoki’s ailing brother.
Sadatame reveals Sadoki’s betrayal of his clan to support his father-in-law, Akechi Mitsuhide. He speaks of Ujimasa, an inside man who can help you infiltrate Yamazaki Castle. However, you must find Ujimasa in hiding and win his trust. The mission can be completed by both Naoe and Yasuke.
Where To Find Ujimasa in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Ise Sadatame’s friend, Ujimasa, can help infiltrate Yamazaki Castle. He is in hiding at Kiyomizudera Temple. Upon choosing the Inside Help mission from the Objective Board, the intel says that Ujimasa is:
Kiyomizudera Temple is located directly east of Yamashiro City, right past its eastern bridge, as shown in the map image. Entering the temple from the main entrance, run past the main structure while staying on the left, then head down the stairs on the right. Use the observation tool, and Ujimasa should be just ahead of you, giving a tour of the temple to visitors near the three bamboo waterfalls.
Ujimasa will present you with three streams, and you must choose to drink from one. The dialogue options are:
The choices will not affect the gameplay or mission. Once you reveal your intentions to Ujimasa, he will request that you deal with a group of samurai harassing people in Kyoto.
Assassinate the Twisted Tree
You have to assassinate (or spare in a few cases) all seven members of The Twisted Tree before Ujimasa is willing to help. TheTwisted Tree membershave their own section in the Objective Board, and you have to locate each member using clues and scouts. Among the Twisted Tree targets, you can choose to spare Takahashi Ichi-Hime and her brother.
Return to Ujimasa
Once the Twisted Tree members are dealt with, return to Ujimasa at Kiyomizudera Temple. Now that you have won his trust, he will hand over the keys to Yamazaki Castle’s inner gate. He warns you that the gate will be heavily guarded and asks that you show no mercy to Sadoki and his lord.
