A group of mostly retired superheroes comes together in an alternate universe in 1985, at the height of the Cold War, as they investigate the death of one of their own. The movie was described as ‘pure cinema’ and Snyder’s directorial genius was hailed across Twitter. Watching the movie might make a lot of recent CGI-infused movies pale in comparison, and it serves as a fine reminder of what an absolute titan of the movie industry Zack Snyder is.
