Ed Boon and his team of game developers are no strangers to crossing their Mortal Kombat fights with the DC Universe. We’ve seen the two universes battle it out inMortal Kombat vs DC Universein 2008 and continue that trend with Scorpions appearance inInjustice: Gods Among Us, Sub-Zero and Raiden inInjustice 2and finally The Joker inMortal Kombat 11. While we have seen the kombantants follow the rules of a comic book universe, it has been a delight to see The Joker finally cut loose in MK11. And with the recent leak of Peacemaker appearing as a DLC character in the newest installment, these are 10 DC Characters We Want in Mortal Kombat 1.

Harley Quinn

Other than the Joker, Harley Quinn might be one of Batman’s most popular villains in his rouge’s gallery. At this point in her popularity, she has appeared in almost as much media as her puddin. She has been a playable skin for Cassie Cage in MK and appeared in bothInjusticegames. With her acrobatic style and unhinged nature, her gameplay would fit perfectly into the NetherRealm with an array of weaponry that could make for some incredible fatalities. Just imagine the carnage she could do with her mallet.

Deathstroke

Slade Wilson is considered on the deadliest assassins in the DC Universe, even going as far as matching his skill set with Batman. However, he steps up to DC’s Hero with enhanced strength and speed to add onto his already impressive marital arts. If that isn’t enough to convince you, Deathstroke comes equipped with an incredible arsenal of weapons for any occasion. From his assault rifles and pistols to his staff and swords, Slade Wilson easily makes for a fighter worthy to take on the Mortal Kombat roster.

The Main Man from the depths of Space, hell bent on capturing the Man of Steel. Lobo’s story would fit in perfectly with the Mortal Kombat universe, as the DC Universe is taken over by Netherrealm he could return to Earth for another bounty for him to collect and find things have changed. Accidently running into some of the kombantants during his trip. Lobo had previously appeared inInjustice: Gods Among Usas a guest character, but his style and personality would fit right onto the roster.

The Batman Who Laughs

A twisted concoction of Bruce Wayne and The Joker and born in the depths of the Dark Multiverse. The Batman Who Laughs emerges as an abomination of brains and brawn, who is equally cunning as he is unpredictable. Previously appeared as a DLC skin for Noob Siabot inMortal Kombat 11, the Clown Prince of Darkness has a lot more to offer than just a playable skin. Equipped with a scythe and sickle, The Batman Who Laughs will have no problem ripping and tearing his way through the kombantants.

King Shark

This character has yet to make an appearance in eitherInjusticegames orMortal Kombatgames, but has since gained popularity after he was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone in 2021’sThe Suicide Squad. Demonstrating his sheer brutality in the film by ripping and tearing through his enemies, King Shark could play as a slower but powerful brawler inMortal Kombat. Remember that scene inThe Suicide Squad? When he rips the guy in half? Yeah if that’s not a fatality, I don’t know what it.

Jason Todd is one with a tragic backstory and has often been one to be held back in the comics and his appearance as a DLC inInjustice 2. However, true fans of this former Robin know this character has so much more he could unleash without the concern of what Batman might think. Let’s give him that chance, let’s throw him into the NetherRealm and let him cut loose. Give him his iconic dual pistols, a bunch of bombs and a crowbar. Make a fatality that recreates the way the Joker made him into who he is.

Black Adam

Dwyane Johnson managed to finally bring this character to the big screen, and we saw a little bit of what his god is capable of, but we know there is more to him than just being a little violent with his lightning. While lately Black Adam has been portrayed as an anti-hero, he started out as a villain and one that can be heartless. But really, who wouldn’t love to see this lightning god go toe-to-toe with Raiden.

Son of the Lord of Apokolips, Darkseid. Orion was placed into the care of the High Father on New Genesis as a sign of peace between New Genesis and Apokolips. As Darkseid’s son, Orion might not seem that dangerous but contains an inner power that when provoked can destroy anything and everything in his sight. NetherRealm can get creative with this character, taking kombantants to the depths of Apokolips and demonstrating the sheer wrath of the son of Darkseid.

The man who broke Batman’s back, Bane is an example of ruthless and relentless power. Grown in the pits of Santa Prisca, Bane’s character has developed from just a luchador who wants a new challenge to a calculated and feared opponent to the Dark Knight. While a lot of the other entries on this list could use various weapons to dismember their enemies, Bane would do it with his bare hands.

Only having made a couple appearances in television shows, this ruthless villain has not been given his due since he first appeared in 1996’sKingdom Come#1. However, this villain is well equipped with hand wielding weapons. He also has the incredible speed and strength, along with the ability to fly and teleport. This villain could easily serve as a worthy opponent against the kombantants, we would love to see this one face off against Shao Khan.
